Season 4 Episode 14: Goodbye, Toby
- You can see that the YouTube video of Ryan was added on April 16, 2008. The episode was set in May.
- The alarm on Michael's wristwatch goes off when Toby leaves, even though Toby set it to Costa Rican time.
- In this episode Michael's ring tone changes from the normal pop songs he usually uses to a default ring tone.
- We learn Pam's middle name is Morgan.
- Dwight's statement that Troy resembles a hobbit is not quite true, as male hobbits do not have beards.
- A major plot hole involving the Dunder Mifflin staff getting locked in is, how could security not have known people were still there working when there was a parking lot full of cars? Also, as owner of a company in the complex, Bob Vance would have a key, yet Phyllis never called her husband.
- In this episode, Jan initially stated that she did not want to have kids. In the episode "The Client," she stated that one of the primary reasons for her divorce was that she wanted children, but her ex-husband did not.
- This is the first time that Jan says that she loves Michael back to him. Normally, the reply is awkward silence.
- We learn Toby is allergic to mushrooms.

- When was Meredith born?
In this episode, there are four birthdays in one month, with Meredith's being the last. However, in The Alliance, Meredith's birthday is first after a month of no birthdays.
Also, since Office generally keeps in real time, her birthday according to The Alliancewould fall in April, not November.
- During the Finer Things Club meeting that Andy tries to crash, the teapot they are using is the one that Jim gave Pam in the episode Christmas Party.
- When Michael is talking on the phone to corporate, the date on his telephone is 10-3-2007, assumingly the production date of this episode.
- Angela suffers from sleep apnea, a condition in which a person stops breathing for short periods while sleeping.
- You can see Dwight's Dundies at his house, although they are not on a shelf above his bed as he states in "The Dundies"
- Kevin's band is now known as "Scrantonicity II", not "Scrantonicity," implying he had a fallout with the original members of the band.
- In this episode, Mose is shown using an outhouse away from the house. However, in "Office Olympics", Dwight says the only bathroom is under the porch.
- Creed's fake passport shows a birthday of February 8, 1943 and the name "William Charles Schneider", both actor Creed Bratton's real birthday and name, meaning they actually used the actor's real passport for his character's fake one.
- At the beginning of the episode, Meredith isn't wearing her cast, then after the opening credits, she is.
- When Jim signs Meredith's cast, he distinctively dots two Is in the last name, so John Krasinski signed it using his real name and not his character's name.
- In "The Secret", Jim says he had a crush on Pam when she first started. Pam tells Michael that Jim had a crush on her when he first started. And in this episode, Jim states that Pam lead him to his desk when he first started. Greg Daniels has since said he doesn't know who started first.
- As Jim and Michael drive to New York City, one can see in the background the scruffy vegetation of rural to suburban southern California , rather than the forests of northeastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey.
- When Michael and Jim cross the Pennsylvania border, there appears to be mountains in the background. However, that part of the state is flat and the Appalachian Mountains are more towards the middle of the state.

- In this episode we learn that Stanley is a Roman Catholic, Pam and Darryl from the warehouse are both Presbyterians, Phyllis is a Lutheran and her husband Bob Vance is a Unitarian.
